College student Alexandra Tanner wants to be a reporter. She has the brains. She has the instincts. She has the attitude. She just doesn't have the 'big story'.

And the odds of finding one over spring break seem pretty slim. Especially since she's stuck working in her uncle's floating convenience store. In the middle of a lake. In the middle of nowhere.

So, when the local press reports that two young co-eds are lost somewhere nearby in the hundred-mile maze of twisting water canyons, Alexandra jumps on the story. But the more she learns about some of the locals, the more she suspects that the girls aren't merely 'lost' after all.
