"A Friend In Need" C.M. Coolidge |
Why would someone want to vandalize the works of a dead artist? Gallery after gallery, the famous abstracts of recently-deceased artist Gilbert Lundly are being defaced, smeared with broad swaths of red paint. Each time the vandal leaves a single word scrawled across a canvas -- one link in a message that may lead to his identity. Events take a gruesome turn when a guard at the Metro Museum has his throat slit in the dead of night. Evidence at the scene brings to light a disturbing possibility... The dead artist may not be dead. |
