Jim performs every weekend (as he has done for the past nine years!) in murder mystery dinner-theatre productions. Just a month after he moved to Phoenix from Illinois, this 20+ year veteran of academia (PhD, Professor of Theatre) landed the lead role of Wendle Weedle, P.I. in 'Murder at Rutherford House'. After a record-setting 600 performances, Jim moved on to appear as Harold Joy, lovable silent film comedian in over 400 performances of 'Murder at Greystone Manor'.

As a non-union (SAG eligible) actor, Jim loves to create quirky, offbeat, funny-little-men characters like Louis. Although he originally wanted to play Old Farley, Jim secretly covets "big guy" roles like Carl. Some of Jim's characters, both live and on camera, have included a witch doctor, an old prospector, "the incredible talking head", a monk, William Shakespeare, a hotel thief, Ty Cobb, the Yuma Kid, an 1890s town doctor, Enviro Jones (rain forest adventurer par excellence), a 1920s gangster, a Scotland Yard detective and a maintenance man high on cleaning compound fumes.

Jim is definitely drawn to the strange. You can learn more about him, if you dare, at his personal website: http://www.actsup.com

Jim is currently represented by Dani's Agency in Phoenix, AZ.
